Hi! My name is Britt. I am a Toronto born artist, raised in the GTA, and educated at the University of Guelph & Humber college.
In my home studio and workshop located in Mississauga, I create whimsical glass bottle multiples and mixed media landscapes on canvases with found objects and recycled materials, as well as home decor and accessories that range from simplistic beauty to fantastic costume.
I ethically source my materials from local businesses and abroad, while reusing materials to help give them a second life. I believe in the benefits of sustainability and the importance of local communities. I assemble all of my creations in my work space, sampling from broken, discarded, and new materials to create one of a kind items. I harvest what I can from my gardens and land, pick and press my own flowers, and upcycle refuse from local factories and businesses.

I love to recycle using found objects, used and vintage items, and old or damaged jewelry and clothing given to me by friends and family. Occasionally, I purchase new supplies from local stores and from global artisans. I bead, sew, and weave my own accessories, and I create my art from a uniquely curated inventory. Everything I sell has been altered and assembled by me personally.
My creations are so varied, and so are the processes that lead to their being. Each piece goes through a phase of design and execution, using the materials at hand and the elements available. I enjoy letting natural elements like snow or rain effect the canvas. My canvases can take years to evolve into the landscapes and images that I love; each layer adding depth and intrigue to its unique story.
